Why Not Just Rent a Small Garden Tiller?

!±8± Why Not Just Rent a Small Garden Tiller?

Small garden tiller tools are needed if one has a big garden, and not everyone could just till on a tiny plot. Some of the lucky ones have just the right sized garden that can produce the vegetables for the house especially during spring and summer. However, tilling, no matter the size, is always tiring especially if you don't have the physical capability to do so. Having a small garden tiller as part of you equipment is something that is both useful as well as essential.

Maybe because man is basically rooted to the soil, making it very hard to ignore. Somehow, the soil calls the gardener in us and makes us dream of fresh, fresh, fresh. One other thing I noticed, freshly tilled soil somehow gives out the message of 'plant seeds.'

When you have a small garden tiller, it is easy to maneuver around tight spots and areas where there might be boulders or trees that are set in the middle of your plot. If you don't want to pry them out, the small garden tiller will work just fine moving around it.

The weight of this small tiller is also what makes it attractive. Lightweight at only 11 pounds, this makes it easy to lift and bring around wherever you want to bring it. Another aspect to be happy about is that the handle are usually foldable, meaning that you can actually just store it upright in a closet big enough to hold it. Some people are just not into buying brand new stuff; they would rather just rent or hire someone to do it for them. But the more the gardener, the more they want to own their own equipment, be they used tillers or new.

Buying used equipment is good as there are a lot offered out there that are in pretty good condition. But don't expect too much from them as if they were new. They are not; they have been used and probably mechanically challenged. If you are not interested in owning one, why not just rent or hire the neighbour's kid? I am sure there are kids out there who would love to have a summer job tilling gardens.

Also, there is something you should know about small garden tillers, they are not designed for heavy duty jobs. So, try loosening up the soil first before you till it. This may be frustrating, but that is the truth to using a small garden tiller.
